Welcome to the Amazon
In the Amazon region of Brazil, in 1999 two women, one Roman Catholic and one a Presbyterian, one from Kansas and the other originally from Brazil, grew and sold acres of melons in order to begin a mission to give a safe home to abused, neglected, orphaned and abandoned children of the small city of Jacunda.
The mission has expanded, adding educational and medical facilities for the community and a teen house in the town of Tocantinopolis, where older children of PRAY have better educational opportunities.
